Founder, Director

Paola worked as an engineer with local Florida counties for years before she became convinced that her passion for homeschooling was a calling from the Lord. She has put her organizational mind to work. Collaborating with others, she has sought to create a homeschool program that serves working families who know that love, education, and discipleship are crucial for raising up the coming generations.

After many years working as the distribution manager of an interior design staging company, Alex worked with his wife to found GCH and oversees areas in accounting, payroll, logistics, transportation, technology, building management, security, and the morning prayer before we open the doors each day.

Dr. Rebecca Hammonds is excited to be a part of Generations Christian School again this year working with the High School students! After several years of teaching at the College/University level and also working with smaller children, she is thrilled to continue working with teens. She loves to help prepare them for their university and professional futures. She serves at her church and loves to help her students live out their personal faith.

Christy joined the administrative team at Generations Christian Homeschool after working on the administrative team at her church for many years. She provides a tremendous amount of organizational support to every aspect of the school. She also supports the marketing and social media needs of the school. Along with her husband, Lucas Miles, Christy is an invaluable part of our administrative team with a heart dedicated to our students and families.

Amy Borge
Elementary Dean of Students

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and has over 20 years of teaching experience. She is the parent of a homeschool graduate and has two years left in her homeschool journey with her youngest child. Amy has a desire for young people to know they are loved and valued. She believes that every child can learn, and her recent teaching experience at Urban Youth Impact allowed her to see this firsthand. Outside of teaching, she enjoys the outdoors, rollerblading, sunny South Florida beaches, and volunteering in her local community and at church.

Nicole Corium
3rd-5th Science

Nicole Corum began her homeschool journey in 2018, teaching her own three children and developing a deep passion for faith-based, individualized education. As both a mother and educator, she is committed to meeting students where they are—nurturing their academic growth while encouraging their God-given identity and purpose.

In 2022, Nicole joined the teaching staff at Generations Christian Homeschool, where she began leading Piano and Ukulele classes. When her children enrolled in the academic program in January 2023, her family became fully immersed in the Generations community. Since then, Nicole has taken on a variety of teaching roles that reflect her heart for discipleship and hands-on learning.

During the 2024–2025 school year, Nicole taught 3rd Grade Elementary History, Discipleship, Life Skills, and provided one-on-one tutoring for students with learning differences. In the upcoming school year, she will be teaching Science for Upper Elementary, continuing her mission to make learning meaningful and rooted in biblical truth.

Nicole’s teaching style is deeply relational, focused on creating a supportive and engaging environment where each student feels seen, valued, and encouraged to grow in both character and knowledge. Her greatest hope is that every child she teaches would know they are fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved by the God who created them.

Paulina Flores
1st Grade

Mrs. Paulina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a focus in Clinical Child Psychology, a Pre-Law degree, and an TEFL/TESOL certification, with four years of teaching experience.  Her background also includes experience in school administration, HR, real estate and financial management, allowing her to bring both creativity and structure into the classroom.  

With five years of homeschooling her own children, Mrs. Paulina has seen firsthand the impact of nurturing both the heart and the mind. She has led and organized countless events for local homeschool families and support groups, always seeking to build community and encourage parents in their journey.  Above all, she views teaching as a calling from God. And how nurturing the heart with faith and the mind with wisdom leads children closer to their God-given purpose.

Administrative Assistant

Kourtney is a passionate educator with several years of teaching experience across grades K–12 in private, charter, and homeschool settings. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and an ACSI Teacher's Certification. Since 2011, she has been an active member of Christ Fellowship, faithfully serving in both the Children’s Ministry and Special Needs Ministry.

 

As a devoted wife and mother of two, Kourtney brings warmth, energy, and creativity into the classroom. Her heart is to inspire the next generation to love Jesus deeply while creating a joyful, engaging, and hands-on learning environment where every child feels valued and excited to learn. Through her administrative role, she enjoys bringing fun and creative ideas to student events and supporting families by fostering a strong sense of community.

Deana McCrann
Math Teacher
(3rd-5th Grade)

Deana McCrann has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Psychology and 20+ years experience teaching math, reading, writing, science, social studies, health & nutrition for elementary, middle, and high school students in public, private, and home school settings. She also enjoys private tutoring and serving in hospitality for her church. Her dedication to helping students reach their highest potential makes her a valuable asset to our community.

Elizabeth Mora
Pre-K Teacher

 Elizabeth holds a degree in Bacteriology and Clinical Laboratory issued in Colombia where she has the opportunity to work in different medical institutions . In the U.S she got a Bachelor in Science. 

Elizabeth is a member of a local church where she has worked with children, youth and women ministries.  She has been working in Generations for 2 years helping in different areas including  teaching Spanish, Chemistry and Physical Science and also supporting the administrative team and students.

Denise Ornelas
2nd Grade Teacher

Dennise Ornelas so excited to be our 2nd grade teacher this year. Her goal is to create a classroom where every student feels inspired, challenged, and supported to grow in knowledge and in their walk with Christ. She believes in fostering a love for learning by making our lessons engaging, interactive, and relevant, all while seeking to honor God in our studies. She is looking forward to a fantastic year of discovery and spiritual growth with all of you!

Tania holds certifications in elementary education and has been serving as the children's coordinator at her church. She has a tremendous heart for raising children up in the Lord and drawing out their God-given talents! We are very excited to have her working with our littlest students.

Stephanie Trenschel
Language Arts
(3rd-5th Grade)

Stephanie Trenschel holds a degree in Elementary Education with minors in psychology, science, and religion from Lee University. She taught kindergarten for two years at a private school, was director of a daycare for three years, taught at a co-op for one year, and has homeschooled for 14yrs, graduating two of her four kids, so far. She recently taught our summer reading camp and her students loved it!

Bethany Wesh
Social Studies
(3rd-5th Grade)

Bethany Wesh has several years of experience teaching ELA and Social Studies in a Christian school setting. Prior to her work in Christian education, she served for two years in the Middle East as a missionary, helping to lead evangelism and discipleship efforts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, and her passion for missions and Christ-centered learning shapes her classroom culture. At Generations, she looks forward to helping students grow in wisdom, character, and a love for God’s Word. Bethany attends Grace Presbyterian Church in Stuart and is married with two sons.

Annette Jackson
High School Dean of Students

Mrs. Annette Jackson has been an educator for over 25 years. She is a graduate of Grambling State University. Mrs. Annette has a passion for students and enjoys seeing them grow while serving as Guidance Counselor and Dean of Students at Berean Christian School. She also enjoys working with teachers and other administrators, providing emotional and spiritual support as needed.

For this new season, Mrs. Annette still hopes to be actively involved with students and work in partnership with others for their continued spiritual growth and formation. During her years at Berean Christian School, Mrs. Annette started a project called
"U-Turn" to help students engage in safe spaces in order to talk about the difficult things in life. This project became one of the highlights of her time at Berean.

She feels blessed to be a part of the GCH
family, assisting with various tasks, and looks forward to continued partnership with others for their continued spiritual growth and formation.

Alejandro Alvarez.jpg

Alejandro Alverez
History, Bible, Accredited Spanish, Dual Enrollment
(High School and Dual Enrollment)

Alex and his wife Anabel have been married for 30 years and have two grown-up children, Grace and Seth, 24 and 19, respectively. They have resided in West Palm Beach since 2010.

Alex has dedicated much of his adult life working with children in different settings; as an elementary school music teacher for Miami-Dade Public Schools, church children ministries, and later as a franchisor of a popular children’s recreational gymnastics facility, predominantly working with the very young, infants through age 6.

Alex holds a Music Education degree from the University of Miami and a Master’s degree in Theological studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mr. Andrew Lettsome
Bible
(High School A Grade)

Andrew is currently a missionary trainer and coach who spent 12 years serving overseas with his family in Kenya. He holds degrees in both Practical Theology and International Business from Southeastern University. He is an ordained pastor who has overseen orphan care, assisted church planting in unreached areas, taught Bible college, managed an international primary school, and served as preaching pastor of a local church. He believes the Bible is best taught as a whole, complete story that provides true answers for all life’s needs, and loves seeing God’s Word become living and active in the lives of students.

Alejandra Monllau, M.A.
Math Teacher
(Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and College Algebra)

Alejandra earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education in Mathematics in the US; she is also a Florida Certified Teacher in Mathematics from 6th to 12th grade. Originally from Venezuela where she studied Business Administration, she decided to pursue her real passion for teaching when she moved to the US. She has been actively teaching and tutoring at all grade levels for the past 20 years.

Since 2016, Alejandra has been teaching students with minor cognitive and behavioral disabilities; expanding her reach to serve a wider audience while improving her skills in the field. Her experience while working at EIBS (EARLY INTERVENTION BEHAVIORAL SERVICES) and teaming up in partnership with Neurokids, have been an invaluable asset for her and for those families looking for a different approach for their special need kids.

Symantha Raley
Language Arts Teacher
(6th Grade-High School A)

Symantha is thrilled to be teaching her second year with Generations. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College and has worked at the Embassy of Spain in New York to the Commodity Exchange at the World Trade Center, yet her true passion is education. As an educator, she has found enrichment
in teaching and mentoring.

Twenty-three years ago, she and her husband began fostering and adoption, which led to homeschooling and teaching at HomeLink and in a co-op.
Her daughter graduates this year, and her son graduated in 2019 and was accepted to UCF. She feels that teaching and discipling is her calling, extending beyond the classroom through volunteer work
with children-focused ministries. She served as an assistant
Children’s Ministry leader, volunteered for Operation Christmas
Child for twelve years, and currently works with Urban Youth
Impact on literacy for inner-city kids.

Jessica Shapiro
 Math and Science Teacher
(6th-8th Math, 7th Science)

Jessica has worn many hats over the years, both in her church and in various occupations. She has been an ESE teacher for the school district since 2018 and has taught middle school math for most of that time. Most recently, Jessica has started a tutoring business and enjoys working with students in all settings. Jessica holds close and lives out the Biblical promise found in Proverbs 22:6 which states, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” This is why Jessica is so filled with excitement and joy in joining Generations Christian School. She is ready to help educationally lead children in their academics and in reflecting the morals and values of God.

Ellen Sims
 Bible and Science Teacher
(6th Grade Bible and Science)

Ellen holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and is a graduate of Kaleo Leadership College at Christ Fellowship Church. With over 20 years of experience in education, she has taught students from elementary through high school and has also owned and managed several successful businesses. Ellen is passionate about walking beside students as they explore God’s purpose for their lives and develop their unique gifts and talents. She is especially excited to bring her experience teaching Financial Literacy to provide students with lifelong skills that will empower them to apply both biblical and practical principles that will help ensure their future success.

Debbie Weaver, M.Ed., is an experienced educator with over 8 years of teaching in public schools. With a Master of Education degree, she has also dedicated over 15 years to homeschooling her own children, successfully graduating three children and continuing to homeschool her youngest. Debbie's passion for education and commitment to personalized learning make her a valuable resource for both traditional and homeschooling communities.
